Peer Support for Clinicians: A Programmatic Approach

Decription

Burnout is associated with increased paperwork, long work hours, and limited resources. Emotional stress from medical malpractice also contributes to burnout. Physicians often experience this in the wake of adverse incidents, especially ones associated with legal issues or medical mistakes. To decrease the risk of burnout, especially among physicians, authors strongly suggest that healthcare organizations should implement programs and resources that in the workplace.
